What to bring to our team
Oversee the learn to swim, recreational swim, and user group programming in accordance to the governing body Lifesaving Society standards and the City of Guelph expectations. Always maintain and enforce high safety standards. Guided by the goals and objectives of the City of Guelph Strategic Plan and committed to the Corporate Values of integrity, excellence and wellness, the candidate will aid in the achievement of the Community Vision – to be the city that makes a difference.
Certifications must be current: Lifesaving Society Swim and Instructors certifications, Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard certification, Standard First Aid with CPR C certification, Lifesaving Society Examiner Certification and Lifesaving Examiner-Bronze level certification. Must be willing to obtain Lifesaving Society Examiners certification within 3 months of start date, and Bronze Examiner status within 6 months of start date if not certified at time of employment.
