Resumes are being accepted for the temporary position of Facility Maintainer within the Culture and Recreation Department-Recreation Services. Reporting to the Supervisor, Recreation Facility Operations. The successful candidate will safely perform a wide variety of duties related to facility maintenance and facility operations, within Recreation facilities including a seniors centre, a pottery centre, several multi-purpose Community Centres containing aquatic centres, arenas, and multipurpose rooms, fitness centres, and stand-alone arenas and pools including one outdoor pool and an air supported dome. In addition, the position will competently and safely use a variety of equipment and vehicles to perform ice, floor, pool and facility maintenance including ice resurfacers, hand and power tools. The functions performed in this position are in accordance with established standard operating procedures, departmental and corporate policies and practices, and legislated requirements with a focus on quality customer service and continuous improvement. Guided by the goals and objectives of the City of Guelph Corporate Strategic Plan and committed to the Corporate Values of integrity, service, inclusion, wellness and learning, the candidate will aid in the achievement of the Community Vision for an inclusive, connected, prosperous city.

40 hours per week. Any five (5) shifts of eight (8) consecutive hours 6:00am to 4:00pm or 3:00pm to 1am, Sunday through Saturday. Shifts are a requirement of this position.
