Resumes are being accepted for the position of Licensed Automotive/Truck and Coach Technician/ Apprentice Technician within the Operations Department. Reporting to the Supervisor of Fleet Services, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a team of licensed mechanics working on a variety of light and heavy vehicles and equipment. If you currently have your 310T or 310S mechanic license you will be enrolled into our Apprenticeship Program where you will have the ability to obtain the second trade license with financial support from the employer with full wages paid during ‘day release’ in-school sessions, as well all tuition, books, parking and examination fees paid by the employer. There are other benefits this role is eligible for under the terms and conditions of the CUPE 241 Collective Agreement. Hours of work
Five (5) consecutive shifts alternating on three (3) shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am, 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, commencing Sunday night at 11:00 pm through Friday at 11:00 pm. Winter control on-call support is required.
Conditions
This is a full-time position, conditional on the current incumbent’s right to return to their job within a two (2) year period
